National Speakers’ Forum

Congratulations to NFL National Congress Champion ROBERT COLONEL who attended NSF in Congress and is an instructor, along with NFL National Congress Champion Kenneth Colonel.

In addition to our many NFL and CFL National Qualifiers and Late Elimination Round Participants, students who attended NSF last year have had amazing accomplishments. We have had students in elimination rounds and final rounds at many of the most prestigious tournaments:

We’ve had state champions and a number of students qualify to NFL and CFL Nationals. Congrats to all of our alum for their amazing work! We are proud of all of them and excited about the number of students who are returning for another NSF summer. Whether you have been before or have never attended - NSF is the place for you!

The dates for the 2009 National Speaker’s Forum in Ft Lauderdale, FL will be June 27th - July 11th!

FREE DAY ON JULY 4th!

For Free day we will have 3 options (all optional of course) A Trip to South Beach from 10am until 7pm for $30, A trip to Sawgrass Mall (outlets, arcade, movies, dining)from 8:30am until 2, 3 or 6pm for $15, A trip from 9am until 8pm to the Rapids, which is a water park (the largest in South Florida) and to City Place in West Palm Beach, for Movies, Shopping and dining for $55. You can sign up for these at registration and pay by check or cash. No pre-signups, as this is a pay to go type of set up. If you want to stay back at the dorms you can there will be supervision and movies, games and other activities.

IF YOU ARE DRIVING TO NSF or COMMUTING TO NSF:

Driving Directions to the Commons Dorm-

Take University Ave South to 30th Street/Abe Fischler Blvd. Turn left.

Follow to College Ave, turn right.

Drive past two main entrances to NSU, and then you will see a third unmarked road that leads to the back of the dorm complex. Turn right and follow to the entrance to the LEO GOODWIN DORMS and COMMONS DORMS, the gate will rise as you pull forward. Park in any spot! Registration will take place on the first floor of the Commons Dorms in room 123. This is also the place where parents can pick you up if you are bring dropped off
each day.

FINAL PACKING ADVICE:

Florida is hot! Shorts, t-shirts, sandals… and if you are going to the Water Park your swimsuit! Also, pack linens: such as xlong twin sheets, pillow, pillow case, sheets, light blanket, and all your toiletries. You might get cold in the air conditioning, so you should pack a light sweater or sweatshirt. Bring a small umbrella… because it will rain! Next.. if
you are staying for two weeks, make sure to pack a competition outfit for the final day on July 11th.

LAUNDRY:

There is FREE laundry at NSF! No need to pack detergent, it will be provided!

CAMP STORE:

There will be a camp store for anything you might have forgotten: timers, legal pads, paper, candy, soda, water, snacks, pens, and misc. toiletry items will be available for a nominal price.

Any mail that you would like to send to students who are attending the National Speakers’ Forum from June 27 to July 11th, must arrive no later than July 10th! Mail that arrives after July 10th may not reach the student. Therefore make sure that when you send mail it arrives on or before July 10th! Send all mail to:
